Subject Knowledge Enhancement

We can support teachers who are not English graduates in their delivery of English / literacy to key stage 3 students. Our sessions can help teachers to gain the depth of subject knowledge and skills they need to be able to teach English at Key Stage 3 as well as providing them with a valuable insight into the steps after Key Stage 3 when students study English at GCSE level. This can include text overviews and terminology knowledge based on the needs of the teachers.

Shakespeare workshops

We love teaching Shakespeare at Key Stages 3 and 4 understanding how fundamental it is within the National Curriculum. We can offer support teachers in planning, preparing and resourcing an engaging and insightful introduction to Shakespeare’s plays for your students. The course aims at building the granular knowledge needed to excel in Shakespeare at Key Stage 4 to make the transition seamless at Key Stage 4.

English Curriculum Planning

We love curriculum planning and know that the importance of a broad and rich curriculum cannot be underestimated. Securing grades: As experienced teachers, examiners and moderators of GCSE English Literature, we know the common features of answers in each band of the mark scheme. We can provide examples, standardised scripts and resources for you to use with your students.

Text enhancement courses: We can share our extensive knowledge of key GCSE English Literature texts. We can provide packages of resources as well as running supportive sessions for teachers to develop their own subject knowledge.
