Exam Marking and Assessment
As senior examiners, we provide an accurate and consistent service that gives you the knowledge you need to move your students forward without the hours spent marking, allowing you to focus on the things that really matter.
GCSE English Language and GCSE English Literature
We offer two packages:
GCSE English Language Spoken Language component
GCSE English Spoken Language Component As experienced AQA examiners, we are equipped to mark and moderate the individual presentations which all students have to deliver as part of their GCSE examination. The use of independent, external assessors raises the bar of challenge for this important assessment and helps ensures an objective, rigorous approach to awarding students a pass, merit or distinction. We can record your presentations and complete AQA-approved paperwork for your entire cohort.
We can also train English teachers on planning, delivering and assessing this component. Please see our Teacher CPD page for more information. Custom packages are available according to your school’s needs.
                GCSE Remarking
We understand how progress data is key to subject performance. If you purchase a mock marking package from us, we offer a free service in evaluating GCSEs which you think you would like to put forward for a remark. If you would like to use this service and gain advice from experienced examiners, then you can contact us for advice and guidance.
            Key Stage 3 Assessments
Life without levels has meant that key stage 3 assessment sometimes takes a back seat. We can mark your key stage 3 assessments or provide moderation according to your own school’s assessment criteria or by using our own assessment procedures.
If your school needs to develop a new KS3 assessment system then we can share our resources with you. We have established a successful KS3 English assessment system with extensive resources. These are planned to help students develop their skills from KS2 and prepare for their GCSEs whilst also being appropriate for the abilities of KS3 students.
                Reading Levels and Lessons
Reading is now a fundamental component of secondary schools and there is a growing number of students who read at a lower equivalent age level. We have developed a reading curriculum for year 7 and year 8 students which has successfully improved the reading ages of students at various secondary schools. These lessons aim at improving the four fundamentals of reading fluency in order to improve reading comprehension and access to the curriculum as a whole. If you would like more help, advice or access to the curricullum then please contact below.
